Ride the Fire
09/22/11 - To date this is the single longest painting I've ever worked on. It took somewhere in the neighborhood of several weeks. Still not used to taking so much time, but can't seem to speed up like I used to either. Eh, roll with it.

Endless Problems
06/21/11 - Ug. This painting was a problem from word go! Nothing wanted to behave, but even after all the fighting it turned into a real nice piece.

Patience (Yellow Brick Road)
06/18/11 - Sometimes I can really focus on painting lots of fiddly little bits. This is one of those occasions.

Almost Symmetrical
06/01/11 - Fun with shapes!
Somehow this painting managed to escape being listed for sale. I'll get on that and post the link here.

Semi-Dormant
04/20/11 - This was a weird one. I started it before our trip to Hawaii and finished it when we got home. That trip had an immediate, in your face, impact as well as a slow subtle deep effect that I can't quite put my finger on.

Pele Rides a Mighty Horse
04/13/11 - 100% completely and totally inspired by my wife's and my trip to Hawaii.

Dark Angel Rising
03/07/11 - I have no idea where this one came from.
-
Hold Fast
02/11/11 - I really like blues and yellows... and greens, of course.
-
Lake of Fire
02/15/11 - I thought it might be cool to film myself painting and this came out of the experiment. You can watch the video at my YouTube channel, "Time Lapse Watercolor Painting".
-
My Heart's Not In It
02/28/11 - Wasn't really feeling it the day I painted this, but sometimes that when the most interesting stuff happens. My personal jury is still out on this one.
Another painting that escaped being listed for sale.

Water and Fire
01/24/11 - This painting started off like all the others. With a spot of color on paper. I had no idea where it was going to go and that it would take 30 hours to finish.
-
Melting
01/14/11 - The winter of '10-'11 was long and hard and ice was on my mind for most of it. Considering this was painted in January I'm thinking it came from a bunch of wishful thinking.
-
Rising Up
01/07/11 - Wish I had more to say about this painting... but I don't.

-
Jupiter's Wind
01/04/11 - It kinda makes me think of Jupiter's Great Red Spot after a particular vicious gust.
